A combination microwave has three ways of cooking which are convection, grill and microwave. The convection cooking is just the same as is used in standard ovens and can actually cook food instead of just heating it up like a standard microwave. So the convection oven allows you to bake, roast and cook in the same way that you would with a standard convection oven buy in a much smaller space and the combination microwave ovens are also much cheaper than the standard convection ovens.

A combination microwave also includes a grill so that you can grill food easily and obviously also includes the microwaving technology and so really does offer a complete cooking solution. So much so in fact that a combination microwave can completely replace a standard convection oven and also save you lots of space and money in the process.

Combination microwave ovens have lots of useful features to look out for and the most important is the power, this is measured in watts and dictates how quickly the combi microwave can cook food. The size is also important as large combi microwaves can cook larger foods or several different foods at the same time, there are compact combi microwaves however if space is an issue. Also have a look out for special programmes and a sensor as these make microwaving much easier as they often have programmes for common foods so all you need to do is press one button and you done. A sensor is also great as they can tell when the food is cooked and so you can just leave the sensor to stop the cooking when the food is cooked
