They are more expensive than the stand alone microwaves but look much better in the kitchen as they are fitted in with your kitchen units, bear in mind though that you will usually have to fit them yourself so you may need to plan for this.

The built-in microwaves usually operate in the same way as combination microwaves; they have a convection oven, a grill and can also microwave food and so offer everything you could need for cooking in your kitchen. They are also usually larger than stand alone microwaves and so can cook allot more food at the same time which is great for large households. The power of the built-in microwaves also varies quite allot and the more powerful microwaves can cook food quicker than the less powerful built-in microwaves.
